On Saturday, the city reported 1,450 cases, taking the total to 686,295 followed by 62 deaths, taking the toll to 14,164. The city’s recovery rate is 92% and 636,091 recoveries and the case fatality rate (CFR) is 2.06%. There are 34,083 active cases in the city. Further, the city’s daily positivity rate has gone down 5% on Tuesday, from around 25% in the first week of April 2021. The BMC anticipate­s that the third wave might hit the city anytime between July and September, considerin­g the gradual unlocking of the city to start from June 2021. Meanwhile, Dharavi, the city’s former hotspot, reported 13 cases on Saturday taking the total to 6,684 cases. There are 511 active cases in Dharavi.
