Khwaja Yunus case: Accused cops, including Vaze, reinstated

MUMBAI: Sachin Hindurao Vaze, a former assistant police inspector and encounter specialist who is facing murder charges for the 2003 custodial death of Khwaja Yunus, has been reinstated into Mumbai Police. Vaze had resigned on November 30, 2007. Three constables who were accused — Rajendra Tiwari, Rajaram Nikam and Sunil Desai — were also reinstated via an executive order.
