Vasai civic chief goes on medical leave

PALGHAR: Vasai civic chief Gangatharan Devrajan has gone on a month’s medical leave. In his absence, Satish Lokhande, chief of Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), has been given additional charge as the Vasai civic chief. Ganesh Patil, public relations officer of Vasai civic body, said, “We do not know the medical reason behind the issue, but Lokhande will be taking charge on Monday till further instructions from the government.” Lokhande, former Vasai civic chief, confirmed that he will be taking the additional charge from Monday.
