MUMBAI: Mumbai will face Uttarakhand in the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals to be held in Bengaluru from June 4.

In the group stage, the Amol Muzumdar-coached Mumbai had topped the standings with 16 points, two points ahead of Saurashtra. The last time Mumbai made it to Ranji knockouts was in the 2017-18 season, when they had lost to Karnataka in the quarters. They had a poor outing in 2018-19 and 2019-20.

All the knockout matches will be held in Bengaluru with the semi-finals to be played from June 12 and final from June 20. The Ranji league stage was played before the start of the ongoing IPL and BCCI had said that the knockouts would be played after the T20 league.

It is understood that there will be no quarantine for the players but bio-bubble will be maintained. The teams will have to submit a negative RT-PCR report on their arrival at the venue.

In other quarter-finals, which will also begin from June 4, Bengal will take on Jharkhand, Karnataka will squareoff against Uttar Pradesh and Punjab will lock horns with Madhya Pradesh.
