MUMBAI CITY FACE JAMSHEDPUR TEST ON HOME TURF

MUMBAI: After making a victorious start to their home leg last weekend, Mumbai City FC will line up at the Mumbai Football Arena for this Indian Super League season’s first doubleheader against Jamshedpur FC on Saturday evening (5.30pm kickoff).

Both sides played Odisha FC in their previous outings with contrasting outcomes. While Jamshedpur conceded late goals and lost, Mumbai grabbed all three points for their season’s first win with a clean sheet.

Greg Stewart, Mumbai City’s marquee signing for this season, will be up against his former club. The Scottish striker led Jamshedpur to the Shield title last season with 10 goals and 10 assists in 21 matches. Stewart has already made an impact for Mumbai with a couple of assists to his name this season.

In Friday’s match, FC Goa beat Chennaiyin FC 2-0.
