IndiGo aborts flight after sparks on runway
An emergency was declared at Delhi’s IGI airport after passengers spotted sparks and fire in a wing of IndiGo’s Bengaluru-bound flight 6E2131 on Friday night, officials said. The flight, which was carrying 180 people, was grounded. IndiGo, in a statement, said the take-off was aborted and the aircraft safely returned to the bay. “An aircraft operating flight 6E2131 from Delhi to Bangalore experienced an engine stall during take off roll... We regret the inconvenience caused to the passengers,” the airline said.
