APT EXAMPLE OF CONGENIALITY

-

The Cypress Co-operative Housing Society located at LBS Marg in Mulund has constructed two special shelters, one each for dogs and cats living in its premises. The society also has a dedicated pet welfare committee to look after the well-being of the animals. The concept was implemented to reduce conflicts between stray animal feeders and members who objected to this activity in the society premises. The society invites donations from residents and sells old newspapers to fund these shelters. “Initially, the society had no dogs. Then one day, a puppy came to this society. When he got older, he brought in a few more dogs. The dog lived here for 20 years before he died,” said Prakash Shetty, chairman of Cypress.
