Bypolls to seven seats held across six states

NEW DELHI: Polling for the by-elections to seven assembly seats across six states — Bihar, Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana — concluded peacefully on Thursday, barring a few stray incidents, officials said. The results will be announced on November 6.

In Bihar, the bypolls were held in Gopalganj and Mokama.

In Telangana, the election was held for Munogode seat, while the by-election in Maharashtra was held for Mumbai’s Andheri East constituency.

The bypoll was also held for Adampur seat in Haryana, and for Gola Gokarannath constituency in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri.

The bypoll in Odisha was held for Dhamnagar seat.
