DIWALI ACCIDENT: FAMILY APPEALS CM FOR HELP
MUMBAI: A 27 year old call centre employee from Malad East was hospitalised after her skirt caught fire on Diwali day. She sustained second degree burns for which she is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The bill for her hospital stay and treatment being beyond the means of the family, they approached Bombay East Indian Association, who along with NGO Watchdog Foundation has appealed to the chief minister to help pay the bills.
Agma Lopez was celebrating Diwali at her sister’s place. She bent down to light up a flowerpot, her skirt caught fire from the flame of another cracker.
