Navratri ticket prices cut by 15-20%
MUMBAI: Navratri revellers have a reason to rejoice as organisers of most events, including the one featuring popular singer Falguni Pathak, have slashed ticket rates this year. While organisers claim they have cut rates to offer enthusiasts a relief from rising costs, the fear of low attendance at the festival beginning Saturday has also prompted the move.
Mangal Entertainment, which will conduct the nineday event with Pathak at the Police Parade Ground in Ghatkopar, has reduced the price of a season pass to Rs3,500 from last year’s Rs4,500.
“We wanted the tickets and passes to be affordable as people are already affected by rising prices. In fact, for the first time, we are also giving
discount offers to attract revellers,” said Gaurav Kothari, managing director, Mangal Entertainment. “Due to the inflation, we have made some cuts in terms of grandeur and are strategising how to best use the given resources.”
