SHAKTI MILL CASE: SEIZED ARTICLES GIVEN TO COURT
MUMBAI: Paving the way for the trial, the prosecution on Tuesday submitted all the articles seized by the crime branch during the investigation of the Shakti Mill gangrape of the photojournalist, to the sessions court.
The articles included clothes of the survivor, clothes of the accused, their mobile phone and sim card, a broken beer bottle used by the accused to threaten the survivor and reports of the chemical analysis from the forensic laboratory. The court is expected to begin the trial by next week.
Meanwhile, the sessions court also granted permission to the Agripada police to arrest Siraj Khan, an accused in case, in connection with another molestation case of a 50-year-old woman. The police will arrest him from jail and seek his custody for interrogation.
