'Le Zlatan' is the flavour of the season
PARIS: A French restaurateur has launched a new burger called "Le Zlatan" in a homage to the Paris St-germain striker and has challenged the Swede to visit the restaurant and finish the monster burger.
Jean-philippe Grandin, the manager of Doddy's Cafe in the Parisian suburb of Boulognebillancourt, said he wanted to create "an exceptional burger, which really stands out from the crowd, in the image of Zlatan Ibrahimovic".
The burger, just like the PSG forward, is a commanding presence, combining 600 grams of mince beef with onions, bacon and three types of cheese including cheddar, Emmental and Auvergne blue, all contained in a giant bun that has been specially made for the restaurant.
While the Benfica manager, Jorge Jesus, may consider doubling up defensively to counter the threat posed by Ibrahimovic in Wednesday's Champions League tie, Grandin suggested a similar medicine for anyone willing to tackle "Le Zlatan", with the menu proudly boasting that "even Chuck Norris couldn't fit it in his mouth".
The burger commands a hefty price tag setting customers back almost 30. While the real-life Zlatan hasn't yet tackled himself in burger form, Grandin hopes that a meeting isn't far off, adding he would like to see his hero finish the entire creation.
The inclusion of the strong Auvergne blue cheese is especially significant. "It's a cheese with taste and character, just like Ibrahimovic," Grandin told Le Parisien.
