AK Jain appointed new CBDT chief

NEW DELHI: The government on Tuesday appointed senior revenue service officer AK Jain chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes, the apex policy making body of Income Tax department. Jain, a 1978 batch officer, was made acting chairman of the board following superannuation of Anita Kapur on November 30.
