Windy conditions see Lahiri finish tied 28
DORAL, USA: Anirban Lahiri staggered to a disappointing sevenover 79 on a windy day as he dropped sharply from a possible top-10 finish to tied 28th at the World Golf Championships here.
Lahiri, starting the day at fiveunder and in tied-seventh place, slipped to tied 28th at two-over.
Lahiri will now take a break and return to India to defend his Hero Indian Open title. After which he would go back to USA for the PGA Tour and the Masters next month.
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Adam Scott, continued his blistering run, as he added the Wgccadillac to make it two wins in two weeks.he shot 69 to finish at 12-under 276 for the week.

LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Lakers posted one of the biggest upsets of the NBA season Sunday with an unlikely 112-95 victory over the reigning league champion Golden State Warriors.

TURKISH RUNNER PROBED OVER DOPING ANKARA, TURKEY: Olympic 1,500meter silver medallist Gamze Bulut of Turkey is under investigation by the International Association of Athletics Federations for a possible doping violation, the fifth runner from the 2012 Olympic final to face drug allegations.
The Turkish Athletics Federation said that the IAAF has asked Bulut to submit her defense over irregularities in her biological passport, which monitors an athlete’s blood profile over time for signs of doping.
