DONNARUMMA, BELOTTI GET ITALY CALL-UPS
MILAN: AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Torino forward Andrea Belotti were handed maiden call-ups for Italy, after being named in Giampiero Ventura’s 26-man squad for next week’s friendly with France.
Ventura, who succeeded new Chelsea coach Antonio Conte, also called up Paris Saint-germain midfielder Marco Verratti.
QATAR HITS OUT AT FIFA DOHA: Qatar Football Association backed its vice president Saoud Al-mohannadi and hit out at Fifa after it the governing body called for a two-and-a-half-year ban against the senior official.
On Friday, FIFA’S ethics commission recommended the ban, stating Mohannadi had refused to cooperate with an inquiry.
