First hometown visit as CM: Adityanath speaks development
Chief minister Adityanath Yogi on Saturday played a development card on his home turf Gorakhpur where he was accorded a rousing welcome at a felicitation event organised by the district BJP unit and citizens’ organisations.
Addressing the gathering, he said, “The successive governments at the Centre and the state governments did not work for the development of the state. The BJP government will make UP a number one developed state in the country. There will be no discrimination on the basis of caste and religion.”
Invoking PM’S ‘sab ka saath, sab ka vikas’ slogan, he said his government will not pursue appeasement policy.
The chief minister thanked people for giving a big mandate to the BJP . “I require the assistance of the common people in achieving the goal set by the state government,” he said.
Setting the priorities of his government, he said there will be no new decisions and the election manifesto will be the guiding principle for the govern fare schemes will reach people. The closed sugar mills will be revived, new employments will be generated, migration of the youths will be curbed, there will be end of goonda raj, corruption will be checked and the roads will be free of potholes by June 15, he added. The government is also preparing a plan for the welfare of the farmers, he said.
