Diwakar fires Pro Team SC to victory

MUMBAI: Striker Diwakar Kumar scored the only goal in the contest as Pro Team SC defeated Western India United FC in a third division match of the MDFA League 2018-19 at the St Xavier’s Ground in Parel. Kumar struck the winning goal in the 15th minute.

In the second match of the day, NYASS SC and Phoenix FC were engaged in 3-3 draw. Rajendra Rijul opened for Phoenix in the fifth minute before Tushar Supekar netted the other two in the 16th and 43rd minutes. NYASS were bolstered by goals from Pritesh Patil in the ninth minute and two Swapnil Jusatkar in the 22nd and 28th minutes.
