Probe assault, forgery plaint against bizman, Court tells Juhu cops
THE WOMAN SAID THAT SHE WAS ASSAULTED BY HER HUSBAND AND SHE SUFFERED INJURIES
MUMBAI:THE Andheri metropolitan magistrate court ordered the Juhu police to investigate the complaint of assault and forgery made by a 46-year-old woman against her husband, a businessman dealing in diamonds.
In her complaint to the court, the woman, who is a fashion designer, alleged that the police are deliberately not probing the matter since the last five months. She said that her husband has committed economic offences along with his father, uncle and their chartered accountants.
“Despite my submission of proof, verification reports done by a signature analyst, which was recommended by the Economic Offences Wing and also submitted to the Juhu police station, no investigation has taken place,” the woman said in her plea.
She said that her husband assaulted her on July 24 and she suffered injuries on her stomach and head. Metropolitan magistrate RR Khan, in his order on Friday noted, “The documents furnished on record disclose existence of ingredients of offence under sections 324, 465, 467 and 468 of the Indian Penal Code. The record furnished by complainant denotes that despite existence of cognisable offence, no action has been taken by Juhu police.”
The woman had earlier filed a complaint of assault in April 2018.
