HIZB CHIEF SEEKS PAK MILITARY HELP IN KASHMIR ISSUE

NEW DELHI: Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin and leaders of other Pakistan-based terror groups such as LET and JEM on Saturday called on Islamabad to give them “full military support” as there could not be negotiated settlement of the Kashmir issue.

The leaders made the demand during a news conference organised by the United Jihad Council (UJC), also led by Salahuddin, held in Muzaffarba­d, capital of Pakistanoc­cupied Kashmir. The UJC is the umbrella organisati­on of about a dozen jihadi groups. They claimed the situation in Jammu and Kashmir had worsened because of alleged atrocities by Indian security forces and Salahuddin sought “full military support” for Kashmiris from the Pakistan government “without wasting even a second”, according to a report by Dawn newspaper.
