THE ASSAULT ALLEGATION

The complaint filed by the sister of inmate at Taloja Jail said the inmate had been assaulted by four jail officials in January after he refused their demand for monetary gratification.

The court asked the DG to file a report.

The officials were then suspended and the superintendent was transferred to Yerawada Jail.
