U-14 TEAM’S TOUR CALLED OFF

MUMBAI: The Mumbai Cricket Association has cancelled the under-14 team’s tour to Andhra Pradesh after it was brought to their notice that it was colliding with the Harris Shield super league stage, starting from December 10.

Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) cricket secretary Nadim Memon had to intervene to get the MCA to cancel the tour so that the best players are available for their respective school. The super league will see two groups of four teams each with toptwo in each group qualifying for the semi-finals. The two-day league matches will be held on 10-11, 13-14 and 17-18.

Al-barkaat MMI English (Kurla), Don Bosco (Matunga), Anjuman-i-islam Urdu (CST), IES New English School (Bandra) are in Group X while

Rizvi Springfield (Bandra), IES VN Sule Guruji High School (Dadar), Gokuldham High School (Goregaon), VK Krishna Menon Academy (Borivali) are clubbed in Group Y.
