Nearly 29 lakh regular BEST bus commuters — the second largest mode of transport in the city — have been hassled by the strike that began last Monday
A three-member state committee headed by chief secretary DK Jain conducted two separate meetings with union leaders and the BEST, BMC administration on Saturday. The committee is expected to submit the findings of the report to the Bombay High Court on Monday
The unions have stated that a decision on continuing the strike will only be taken after the case is heard in the court on Monday
On Sunday, only four BEST drivers reported to work and not a single conductor reported for duty.
