NEW DELHI: Ambati Rayudu has been reported for a suspect bowling action in the first ODI against Australia, the ICC said on Sunday. “Rayudu’s bowling action will now be scrutinise­d under the ICC process relating to suspected illegal bowling actions,” ICC said in a statement. The 33-year-old’s action must be tested within 14 days, but he is allowed to bowl until the results are out.

Rajasthan Royals appoint Paddy Upton as coach

MUMBAI: Rajasthan Royals have brought back former Team India mental conditioni­ng coach Paddy Upton as head coach for the forthcomin­g IPL. During his earlier stint, Upton was the head coach for four years, reaching the semi-finals of the IPL in 2013.

Ex-goa player collapses during match, dies

PANAJI: Former Goa Ranji player Rajesh Ghodge (44) died after collapsing during a local match in Margao on Sunday. “He was at the non-striker end when he collapsed. He was shifted to a hospital,” a Margao Cricket Club member said. Ghodge was part of the Goa Ranji squad in 1999-2000.

China slump to lowest women’s T20I total

NEW DELHI: China were bowled out for 14, the lowest women’s T20I total, sinking to a 189-run defeat against UAE at the Thailand T20 Smash in Bangkok. UAE scored 203/3. China were all out in 48 minutes and 10 overs and had six ducks with a top score of four.
