MUMBAI: Former chairperso­n of the legislativ­e council (LC) and senior Congress leader Shivajirao Deshmukh died following a prolonged illness at a south Bombay hospital on Monday. He was 83.

Death toll in Andheri ESIC hospital fire touches 14

MUMBAI: A 57-year-old woman who was rescued from ESIC hospital, Andheri, after a fire broke out on December 18, died on Sunday at Riddhi Vinayak Critical Care and Cardiac Centre. The woman is the 14th victim in the case.
