Tanay, Nihal shine for VN Sule Guruji

MUMBAI: VN Sule Guruji (English) produced an all-round dominant display against VPM’S Vidyamandi­r on Monday on the opening day of the Giles Shield Super League round three. After Tanay Khandeshi smacked 174 to lift VN Sule Guruji to a daunting total of 380 for six declared, Nihal Dhuri claimed three for 12 to left VMP’S Vidyamandi­r reeling at 42 for four.

In another match, Ayush Mhatre, batting at No 7 smacked 134 for Rizvi Springfiel­d High School against Bombay Scottish School. Ayush lifted his team from a precarious position of 90 for five at one stage to help them post 289 in 86 overs. For Bombay Scottish, Aditya Giri bagged five for 105 whereas Anuj Giri took four for 80.
