The Aurangabad bench of Bombay HC last month upheld the state directorate of higher education's (DHE) decision to cancel the admission of a 23-year-old student, Pratiksha Mane, to Dayanand College of Law in Latur to an LLB course

The student had obtained a bachelor’s degree from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) through distance learning

She had only cleared her Class 10 examination. DHE cancelled the admission on the grounds that she didn't follow the 10+2+3 pattern of education
