NEWDELHI:INDIA’S Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana made impressive gains among batsmen in the ICC Women’s T20 rankings despite a 3-0 series loss to New Zealand, while West Indies’ Deandra Dottin climbed to the top in T20 all-rounders’ list.

Rodrigues scored 132 runs in three matches against New Zealand and that lifted her four places to the second position while Mandhana, who topped the ODI rankings last week, also gained four spots to be at sixth after finishing the series with an aggregate of 180 runs. The left-handed batsman smashed two half-centuries including an 86 in the last match in Hamilton that India lost by two runs. New Zealand’s most capped player Suzie Bates continued to lead the batting charts.

Spinners Radha Yadav moved up 18 places to 10th after taking four wickets and Deepti Sharma, up five places to 14th, are the India players to move up among T20 bowlers. Australia’s Megan Schutt continued to lead the bowling charts, while England’s Sophie Ecclestone gained one place to be third.

In the team T20 rankings, New Zealand overtook England to second place. Women’s T20 World Cup champions Australia continued to lead, while Windies and India are fourth and fifth.
