SHABAZ NETS HAT-TRICK, CENTRAL RAILWAY REGISTER 4-1 WIN
MUMBAI: Shabaz Pathan scored a hat-trick to lead Central Railway to a fluent 4-1 win over Maharashtra State Police in an Elite Division match of the MDFA League, at the Cooperage football ground, here on Tuesday.
The Maharashtra policemen stook the lead in the 43rd minute through Sagar Basle but soon after the change of ends, Ajinkya Nalawade scored the equaliser in the 47th minute before Pathan scored the next three goals to seal Central Railways’ victory. PARSEE GYM CALL FOR MCA SGM ON FEB 21
Parsee Gymkhana’s cricket secretary Khodadad Yazdegardi has sent out a notice for a Special General Meeting of the Mumbai Cricket Association members, to be held on February 21 at the Wankhede Stadium.
In the notice, Yazdegardi listed the support of 36 MCA member clubs. The resolution of the meeting is to decide on removing the current Ranji Trophy and Under-23 selection committee and select a new committee.
Yazdegardi said that the motion is being moved because, “The selectors never watched the MCA club matches; players who performed exceedingly well in 2017/18 season were not selected in the 2018/19 probables list.”
