OCTOBER 2015:

Then municipal commissioner Ajoy Mehta set up an inquiry into road works

APRIL 2016:

The report of the first phase of the road scam inquiry was submitted to the municipal commissioner

FEBRUARY 2018:

The report of the second phase of the inquiry was submitted. It indicted a total of 169 officers, of which 84 were indicted in the first report as well

Following this, 56 indicted engineers appealed to BMC. The civic chief set up a two-member panel to conduct hearings

MARCH 2019:

Panel completed hearing of appeals, and reduced punishment of five officers
