Djokovic to organise Balkan tennis event
Novak Djokovic will gather some of the world’s best players for a tennis tournament in the Balkans next month, with the professional season on a coronavirus-enforced hiatus.
In a statement, a spokesman for world No 1 Djokovic said that the Adria Tour will be held between June 13-July 5 in Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia. Along with Djokovic, world No 3 Dominic Thiem and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, ranked 19, will also participate in the tournament.
FOREIGNERS SAFE FROM US ENTRY BANS
United States will exempt some foreign athletes who compete in professional sporting events from entry bans imposed because of the coronavirus epidemic, acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf said on Friday. “In today’s environment, Americans need their sports. It’s time to reopen the economy and it’s time we get our professional athletes back to work,” Wolf said in a statement.
The sports covered by the exemption include MLB, NBA, WNBA, the Professional Golfers’ Association Tour, the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour, the National Hockey League, the Association of Tennis Professionals, as well as the Women’s Tennis Association.

With the 2020 season yet to get underway and with 10 of the scheduled 22 races already either cancelled or postponed, the 10 teams hammered out the new agreement.
