LG MURMU SET TO BE NEW CAG?

NEW DELHI: Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor GC Murmu could be transferred out of the position to take over as the next Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), people aware of the developments indicated on Wednesday.

The current CAG, Rajiv Mehrishi, is set to retire on August 8 and there is a possibility that he will take over from Murmu in the Union Territory of J&K, they said. Mehrishi has also served as the home and finance secretary.
