MISSION SHAKTI HELPS WOMEN GET ALL ASSISTANCE AT SAKHI CENTRES
Through Mission Shakti, one of the most ambitious campaign of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, women are being made aware of their rights and government schemes, the one-stop centres are also being operated in all the districts of the state for providing direct help to them. With the aim of empowering and helping women are facilitated with five days short stay, medical assistance, counselling services as well as legal and police assistance. To promote the Mission Shakti campaign, women are also being provided free legal assistance which has helped in boosting the morale of these women. Legal assistance is being provided to these women through the empanelled advocates of the district legal services authority. One-stop centres (Sakhi Centres) are being operated to provide essential services to the women suffering from domestic or any other form of violence. The Sakhi centres have a manager, a physiological counsellor, paramedical nurse, a computer operator and a case worker working to help these victimised women in their administrative work. Along with this, emergency response and rescue services are also being provided and through these centres, the complaints of women are handled immediately coordination with the other departments. In the year 2020, a total of 16,629 women and daughters from across the state approached the One-stop centres (Sakhi Centre) and shared their problems. They were provided help directly after hearing the problems and immediate action was taken. A senior women welfare department official informed that even under the difficult circumstances like the corona pandemic, the employees of the One-stop centres ensured that their services are not affected. These corona warriors responded to the grievances of the victims even in difficult times and helped them get justice without delay.
