INDIA BOWLED OUT FOR 217 IN FIRST INNINGS

SOUTHAMPTO­N: New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson grabbed a fivewicket haul in an exceptiona­l display of swing bowling to wrap India’s first innings for 217 on Day Three of the World Test Championsh­ip final on Sunday. In reply, the Kiwis were 101 for the loss of two wickets at the end of the day’s play in the one-off final at Southampto­n.

New Zealand had won the toss and opted to bowl first in the WTC final, where Day One of the Test was abandoned due to rain, and Day Two saw the final session being called off early due to bad light.
