Labourer dies as wall collapses in Thane

THANE: A labourer died after a wall constructed by him collapsed on him when he was sleeping, on Sunday.

The man was identified as Arvind Singh, 45, a resident of Bhiwandi, who was building a structure in Gayatri Nagar where the incident took place. According to an officer from Bhiwandi fire brigade, he was sleeping adjacent to the wall on Sunday. Due to heavy rainfall over the past few days, the soil could not hold wall and it collapsed on him. He was dead when he was brought out of the debris.
