Cong seeks PM, SC intervention in Ayodhya land deal
NEW DELHI : The Congress on Sunday sought the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Supreme Court into allegations of corruption in connection with the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’s Ayodhya land deal. “The responsibility lies on the Supreme Court on whose orders the trust has been constituted and the Prime Minister, to audit the whole process of land purchase and money given by devotees,” said Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.
Uttar Pradesh minister Surya Pratap Shahi hit back, saying: “The Opposition has always tried to mislead people on Ram Janmabhoomi and Ram Mandir.”
