Tanish’s effort keeps Vasai in check
MUMBAI: Left-arm sipnner Tanish Shetty (four for 63) took three wickets late in the day as Goregaon Centre reduced Vasai Centre to 216 for five on Day One of the final of the Ajit Naik Memorial U-14 selection trials tournament on Monday.
Sent in to bat, Vasai were nicely placed at 196 for two before Shetty landed those crucial blows. Earlier, useful contributions from Advait Kandalkar (64), Swapnil Verma (49) and Kshitij Pal (42) helped Vasai get off to a good start.

Kharade stars for Jhunjhunwala College
Ved Kharade picked up six for 16 as Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College bowled out Nirmala College for just 38 runs in the MCA organised Inter-college tournament on Monday. Jhunjhunwala College then chased the target without losing a wicket.
