Disha Salian’s death: Sena wants Rane to apologise for maligning Aaditya’s image

MUMBAI: With the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday clarifying that Disha Salian’s death was an accident, the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has demanded an apology from all those who made allegations against Aaditya Thackeray and some other Sena leaders in the case. Prime among the maligners were Union minister Narayan Rane, his sons Nilesh and Nitesh, and several BJP leaders.

S a l i a n , who was a c t o r Sushant Singh Rajput’s talent manager, fell to her death from a highrise on June 8, 2020, days before the actor himself was found dead in his house. The conspiracy industry wove a plethora of stories around the two deaths, claiming both Salian and Rajput were murdered.

The Shiv Sena (UBT)’S knives are now out for those who alleged Aaditya was connected to Salian’s death, especially Rane. “Narayan Rane and his sons defamed our leader, Aaditya Thackeray,” Shiv Sena (UBT) deputy leader and spokesperson Manisha Kayande said. “Salian’s image took such a beating after her death that her parents had to go to the police to stop the slander by the Ranes. Now the Ranes must apologise to Aaditya if they have the courage. He was unnecessarily dragged into the case.”

Former Mayor and Shiv Sena deputy leader Vishakha Raut reiterated the sentiment. “The truth is out and the BJP must apologise to Aaditya,” she said. “He underwent a lot of mental turmoil due to this. I have known him since he was a child and he would never stoop so low as to do all that they accused him of.”

Sena MP Vinayak Raut said all those who had made baseless allegations against Aaditya to malign him needed to apologise, especially since CBI, which reports to the Centre, had clarified that it was not a murder.
