In the afternoon, Islamabad released a statement of
Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan “guaranteeing” that his country will act on actionable intelligence against the conspirators of
the Pulwama attack
Khan also said that if India launches any operation, Pakistan will retaliate. “Starting a war is in our hands, it is easy. But ending a war, that is not in our hands and no one knows what will happen,” he said
INDIA HITS BACK
In the evening, India’s external affairs ministry said Khan was misleading the international community and Pakistan must take credible action
Union minister Arun Jaitley said “it was obvious” Pakistan had no sympathy for the victims and that its request for proof was “diversionary” and “shallow”
