Compensate crop loss: Cong to govt

NEW DELHI: Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday demanded compensation from the Delhi government for farmers whose crops had been affected by the recent hailstorm.

A delegation of farmers from the All India Kisan Congress , led by convener Subash Batra, met Dikshit at the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee on Tuesday to discuss the quantum of damage caused by the unforeseen weather conditions that hit Delhi this month.
