Pacenotes The Frank Anthony Public School Hosts ‘Extravaganza’
The Frank Anthony Public School, Lajpat Nagar
hosted ‘Extravaganza’, an annual event that provides a platform for students to showcase their talents. Schools from all over Delhi and NCR participated in a contest of 11 events namely Spectrum for English, Geo Fest for Geography, Comp Fest for Computers, Heritage for History, Colour Fest for Art, Ecos for Economics, Symbiosis for Science, Soc Talk for Sociology, Pol Fest for Political Science and Math Meet for Math. The event was inaugurated by Principal.s. Dacosta and Vice Principal T. Calvert by lighting the lamp. The participants participated with a lot of enthusiasm. The Extravaganza concluded with the ‘Rolling Trophy’ bagged by DPS, RK Puram. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal T.calvert.
S.S. Mota Singh Model School, Paschim Vihar
organised its 21st S.S. Mota Singh Memorial Annual Inter School Debate Competition under the guidance of respected chairperson Kiranbhasin Bhatia. 18 teams from the reputed schools vied for the top honour in a gruelingdiscussion on the chosen topics which were, ‘Artificial Intelligence – The New Invader’ and ‘Breaking down Walls between Nations is Passé.’ Principalashu Mehta welcomed the guests of honour – General Secreteryh.k. Anand, the panel of judges comprising eminent educationists –Anu Singh, Asthatalwar and Monitamanchanda. The debaters upped the ante in the keenly contested debate defending their stand. Sri Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka bagged the winning trophy. The audience was spell bound by ‘Nukkadnatak’ conveying a social message. The National Anthem marked the culmination of the day.
Mount Abu Public School, Sector 5, Rohini
hosted a workshop on water conservation organised by Delhi Sahodaya Schools Complex in association with Smarthyuva Bharat, an NGO working for raising the concern for social issues to sensitise the students for the conservation of Water. The occasion was graced with benign presence of the Chief guestpadamshree Hans Raj Hans, Member of Parliament, North West Delhi and principals, teachers and students from member schools of Delhi Sahodaya Schools complex. The workshop commenced with enriching talks by experts regarding the importance of conservation of water and as to how the depleting resource has affected the millions of lives all around the world. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of Delhi Sahodaya Schools Complex and Smarthyuva Bharat, NGO for the noble initiative and encouraged the students to come forward and raise their voice against wastage of water. Principal Jyotiarora who is also the Vice President of Delhi Sahodaya Schools Complex, proposed the vote of thanks.
St. Mary’s School, Dwarka
organised ‘Open Day’. The students of showcased their creativity and talents through an array of charts and models focusing on a particular theme. They showcased diversity around the world, the journey from Stone Age to space age and marine survey. The students worked diligently and came up with meaningful charts and displays on food habits, ‘SEWA’, artificial intelligence and world of digitalisation.
The students of the dance club showcased their talents by participating in various contemporary and free style dances. The chief guest Deepika Singh, Assistant Professor at the department of Political Science from Sri Venkateswara college, Delhi University applauded and appreciated the initiatives taken by the students.
