Minor gang-raped by 3, video shot in Kaushambi

PRAYAGRAJ: Three men allegedly gang-raped a minor girl and shot the video of the incident at a village in Sarai Akil area of Kaushambi district on Saturday, the police said.

The villagers caught hold of one of the accused while the other two managed to flee.

The enraged villagers later gheraoed the police station of the area, alleging police misbehaviour with the girl’s kin. An inquiry has been initiated against the station house officer (SHO) in connection with the incident. Teams have also been constituted for the early arrest of the accused, the police said. DIG Range KP Singh also visited Kaushambi on Sunday and met the kin of the victim.
