MINISTER JAIN’S HOUSE BURGLED
NEWDELHI: DELHI’S home minister Satyendar Jain on Sunday said that burglars had targeted his house in north-west Delhi. In a tweet on Sunday, Jain said: “Theft in my house at Saraswati Vihar. All floors searched thoroughly... Anti-social element and thieves have no fear of Delhi Police.”

NEWDELHI: Delhi’s home minister Satyendar Jain on Sunday said that burglars had targeted his residence in north-west Delhi’s Saraswati Vihar.
Jain did not respond to phone calls and text messages.
In a tweet, posted around 10pm on Sunday, Jain said: “Theft in my house at Saraswati Vihar. All floors searched thoroughly for hours. Anti social element and thieves have no fear of Delhi Police.”
Jain also posted pictures of ransacked rooms and books and files scattered all over the floors.
The Delhi Police said they have received a complaint in connection with the matter.
“A PCR call was received at 9.30pm regarding theft at E-block, Saraswati Vihar. As per the complaint by Poonam, wife of Satyendar Jain, this house has been locked for the past six months and neighbours intimated them, that the main gate of the house seems to be open. Some kitchen and bathroom taps and some showpiece were found missing. An FIR has been registered in the matter accordingly,” said deputy commissioner of police (Outer Delhi) A Koan.
Jain, who holds multiple portfolios in the Delhi cabinet including home, health, public work and industries, currently lives in a bungalow allotted to him in Civil Lines.
