3 MEN CARRYING REWARD OF ₹25K ARRESTED IN A SINGLE NIGHT

NOIDA: Three suspects, each carrying a reward of ₹25,000 for their arrests, were nabbed in two separate incidents Saturday night. While one wanted for murder was nabbed by the Sector 39 police, two men wanted for burglaries were arrested by the Ecotech 1 police.

Police said on December 6, 2018, two persons Anil and Harinath had been murdered outside a bank in Sector 46 following an old rivalry.

His nephew, Satyendra, in retaliatio­n had allegedly murdered Anil with accomplice­s. A case had been registered against three. It is alleged they had first attempted his murder in Mathura and were able to allegedly murder him in Noida. Harinath had not been a target.

During probe, it was found six more were allegedly involved. Five, including Satyendra, had been arrested last year while a reward of ₹25,000 each had been declared on the absconding four.

“One of them, Ravi, was arrested Saturday during checking near Botanical Garden bus station. He has confessed. Search is on for others,” said CO 1 Shwetabh Pandey.

Apart from him, two men who allegedly stole iron rods were arrested by Ecotech 1 police. The suspects were identified as Mehadi Hassan and Jabbar, both from Bulandshah­r. “They were arrested from the Atai area. We recovered a truck carrying four tonne iron rods (worth nearly Rs 1.5 lakh) and a countrymad­e pistol, a motorcycle and two phones,” said Mukesh Kumar, SHO, Ecotech 1 police station.

They were wanted in a burglary case from Dankaur police jurisdicti­on and have other cases against them. The suspects were produced before a magistrate and later sent to jail.
