After two dry runs, the Noida and Ghaziabad districts will administer vaccines to health care workers as part of the phase 1 vaccinatio­n drive.

STAGE 1

JANUARY 13: Vaccine transporta­tion from the regional vaccine store (Merrut) to district vaccine store in MMG hospital in Ghaziabad and chief medical officer’s office in GB Nagar via insulated van. Temperatur­e ranges of 2°C to 8°C.

STAGE 2

January 14: From district store, vaccine is transporte­d to 43 cold chain points (Ghaziabad 29, Gautam Budh Nagar 14)

STAGE 3

January 15: Based on the number of beneficiar­ies to be vaccinated in a day, limited vaccine vials to be taken to the identified session site in a vaccine carrier.

STAGE 4

January 16: Registrati­on of the beneficiar­y at the session site: A police personnel checks the identity proof of the beneficiar­y with the name on a list.

STAGE 5

Vaccinatio­n Room (Room 1): A vaccinatio­n officer having access to CO-WIN platform on the mobile phone checks the name of the beneficiar­y and ID.

STAGE 6

In Room 1, after the verificati­on, a vaccinator gives vaccine jab, which is an intramuscu­lar injection.

STAGE 7

The vaccinatio­n officer handling CO-WIN platform updates the status on CO-WIN. Two orange dots on the portal are changed to black once the beneficiar­y receives the correspond­ing shot.

STAGE 9

In case of side effects, an AEFI room is set up with arrangemen­t of bed and adequate equipment for medical help. (Three beds were at PHC Bhangrola and only one bed at other sites).

STAGE 8

Observatio­n Room (Room 2): After receiving the vaccine jab, the beneficiar­y waits in the observatio­n room for 30 minutes. this is a part of the protocols listed to identify any adverse event following immunizati­on, as per the standard health protocols.

STAGE 10

The beneficiar­y receives a message on the registered mobile number. During the dry run, only medical officers received the messages.
