‘GLAD TO SURVIVE THIS PANDEMIC’

Akhilesh Sharma, nursing staff at GTB hospital: Sharma, 36, recalled how initially people thought healthcare workers were spreading the virus. “The neighbours had stopped talking to us. Initially, both me and my wife, who is also a nurse, shifted to a hotel.”

The couple tested positive for Covid-19 in November. “We were in quarantine at the hospital and our children were with their elderly grandparent. We are glad, we survived the pandemic,” Sharma said.
