ALL RT-PCR TESTS ON MPS, OFFICIALS AHEAD OF SESSION RETURN NEGATIVE
NEW DELHI: Not a single RT-PCR test conducted on a total of 1,209 Rajya Sabha MPS and officials has come positive so far, authorities said on Thursday, raising hopes for a safe Budget Session.
The authorities, though, are not taking any risks and are making arrangement to ensure adequate social distancing.
Only 144 MPS will be seated in the Central Hall, including the Council of Ministers, chairpersons of various House panels, leaders of different parties, former prime ministers and national presidents of the BJP and the Congress.
“The remaining MPS will be seated in the chambers of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha as per the Covid-induced physical distancing norms,” a release said.
The President’s address will be telecast live using 30 cameras of Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV.
