Protests erupt at 9.25am after chairman Venkaiah Naidu rejects the Opposition’s notice demanding separate debate on farmers’ issues, saying they can express their viewpoints on Wednesday
The opposition members raise slogans and troop into the well of the House before walking out
They reassemble after some time and resume protest, forcing Naidu to adjourn the House for about 40 minutes As question hour resumes, opposition members continue to shout slogans, forcing a second adjournment till 11.30am The House is finally adjourned for the whole day a third time at 12.30pm
LOK SABHA
The Opposition pushes for an adjournment motion right at the start. Question hour, which had a query on MSP, could not continue as the House gets adjourned The House meets after an hour but similar protests follow. Speaker Om Birla urges the members to return to their seats but opposition MPS refuse to relent
The Lower House is adjourned due to disruptions at around 4.10pm, 5pm and a little after 7pm for the day
In last session, when a decision was taken to not hold question hour due to pandemic, they said it was murder of democracy. Now when it is being conducted, they're obstructing.
