Over 3mn domicile certificates issued in J&K till Jan 25

NEW DELHI: As many as 3.38 million domicile certificates have been issued in Jammu and Kashmir till January 25, the government told Lok Sabha. Union minister of state for home G Kishan Reddy said that since revocation of the erstwhile state’s special status and its bifurcation into two Union territories in August 2019, a total of 58 civilians lost their lives in 54 terror attacks. No pattern of selective targeting based on religion can be established, he said in written reply to a question.
