US, Russia extend nuke arms treaty

WASHINGTON: The US joined Russia in extending the New START Treaty that limits stockpiles of nuclear weapons, two days before it was to expire. US secretary of state Antony Blinken said the US will use the renewal to pursue limits on Russia’s N-weapons.
