AAP, CONG NAME CANDIDATES FOR 5 WARD BYPOLLS

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress on Saturday announced their candidates for bypolls in five of Delhi’s civic wards on February 28.

AAP picked former party MLA from Bawana, Ram Chander, for ward 32N (Rohini-c), while the Congress announced Mewati Barwala.

Vijay Kumar will fight for the AAP in ward 2-E (Trilokpuri), while Congress has fielded local leader Bal Kishan from the ward.

For ward 08-E (Kalyanpuri), the AAP has fielded Dhirendra (Bunty Gautam), a senior AAP leader from Kondli. The Congress has fielded Dharampal Maurya, while it has put Chaudhary Zubair Ahmad from ward number 41-E (Chauhan Bangar) in east Delhi. AAP has fielded its former MLA from Seelampur Mohammad Ishraq Khan for the same east Delhi seat.

For ward number 62N (Shalimar Bagh North) in north Delhi, AAP has fielded Sunita Mishra. The Congress has given the ticket to Mamta for the seat.
